The kindness calendar has been a wonderful addition to our young family’s holiday traditions. We have been able to teach our kids some new routines like donating food to the food bank, and they have loved doing things like making cookies for the neighbors! It’s a really neat way to take the season of receiving back to a season of giving.

These magnets will be a gift for my kids for Christmas. They are already in the habit of building words with letter magnets and now of the age where they can make use of concepts to create a dialogue about what it means to be kind. In my mind, this is such an important trait to cultivate through dialogue.

I love the idea behind this calendar so much. It has helped me have important discussions with my little boy... during a time of year when kids are known for being a lot more greedy than giving. ;) I also really like that you can re-use it and that the experience evolves in a wonderfully positive way as your child matures. Speaking of re-using it, I was a bit skeptical when I first read the stickers would remain sticky year after year -- but they seriously do. We've had ours for 3 years now, and the calendar and stickers both look brand new. Thank you for coming up with such a beautiful idea for our little ones. Will a gratitude version come out for Thanksgiving anytime soon?? :D

The messaging and vocabulary building with this magnet set is wonderful, but the color coding for sentence structure was a bonus that made them even more awesome. My daughter is just learning to read and put sentences together so she had so much fun putting them together in color order to see what kind of phrases she could make. And I LOVE the empowering messages.
